Wedding Dress Preservation
After your special day, Beha Cleaners can clean and help preserve your dress for years to come. Prior to the wedding day, purchase an undyed, unbleached cotton sheet. Wash it in hot water without detergent. On your wedding day, as soon as you take off your dress, wrap it in the sheet. NEVER store the dress in a plastic bag. Keep the dress as flat as possible and keep away from sunlight and damp areas. Bring your dress to Beha's within two weeks of the wedding day. If you will still be on your honeymoon, arrange for someone to take care of this for you. Upon arriving at Beha's, we will inspect the dress with you and note any stains or other areas that need special attention. Let us know if you want it preserved in a museum-quality box or if you will keep it in hanging storage. Beha's will expertly clean and press your dress by hand. We will call you to schedule a time to view your dress. If we are boxing it for you, you may also bring in any special momentos from the occasion like an invitation or gloves that you would like included with the dress. |
